Dinosaur Tracks
| A Dinosaur Stampede that has been recorded by nature and translated by man.

Discovered in the early 1960's by an observant manager of a nearby grazing property .. the first dinosaur footprints were excavated in 1971.

Queensland Museum officers and volunteers carried out further diggings until 1977 .. these revealed a large track way containing graphic evidence of dinosaurs.

A large roof has been built over the track way to protect the dinosaur tracks and a walkway has also been constructed over the top of the dinosaur track way. |

The walk way enables visitors to view and photograph the prints from the best possible vantage points without causing any damage. |

The Dinosaur Track Way is only accessible by a paid 55 minute guided tour at 9am .. 11am and 2pm from March to the end of January every year. |

The short walking track leads from the shelter shed to a lookout with views over the inhospitable countryside .. a track continues in a small circuit so that visitors can examine more closely the vegetation and geology of Lark Quarry Environmental Park. |

Lark Quarry Dinosaur Track Way and entry to the Conservation Reserve is FREE .. as are walks of the dramatic landscape at Lark Quarry .. there are toilets .. picnic shelters and a B.B.Q. area available. |
