In early 2022, the Winton Outback Motel was purchased by Steve and Leesa Collins.  Having been the fortunate recipients of numerous international business awards, including within the Motel Industry in NSW, the couple have made the move to the Qld Outback to take over as Owner/Operators of the Winton Outback Motel, itself being recognised by multiple industry honours during the past approx. 6 years under the ownership of Ray and Jan Anderson.

The Winton Outback Motel is a 25 room property, with a mixture of Queen, King and Family rooms in Standard as well as Premium options.  There is also a converted house on the property with a wide array of accommodation alternatives within, including a fully self-contained kitchen in one section.

Being ideally located just a 2-minute level stroll to local eateries/pubs and CBD businesses, the Winton Outback Motel provides Leisure, Corporate and Group travellers with the perfect position to base your stay.  You never know, you might even see our famous Brolgas pay us a visit in the morning and/or afternoon for their meals !

The most cleanest I’ve seen

For the past 40 to 50 years I've been travelling around Australia, and this place is the most cleanest I've seen.

The welcome you get as you book in makes you want to stay forever. I'm not kidding.

In Winton I've raced bikes and carted cattle in here in the late 60's to the late 70's, and Winton came to my best mates' goodbyes not long ago.

The best

This is by far THE very best room I have ever stayed in right across the Australian Outback ! I've been to all States in Outback Australia and this one was absolutely perfect. It was so clean and the bed so comfortable.

I had a look at the construction, it's real good and the extra wide parking in that new section is smart thinking as there's so many big cars out here like mine.

You and Leesa are on a real winner here and I know you'll do very well.

Make sure you put my name to this. Bob Smith from the NT. Give anyone my number and they can ring me about it, because I'll tell them how bloody good it is!

It was fantastic

We stayed in one of the Premium Queen rooms and it was fantastic. The room was very clean, well appointed, and the bed was very comfortable. The shower was very nice too! We had a great stay.

It's just a short walk to one of the pubs in town for an evening meal. If you have any questions, just ask Steve the Owner, he made us feel very welcome and followed up the morning we left to make sure we enjoyed our stay.

We would definitely stay again and recommend this motel.

Spacious and spotless

We had a great night at the Outback Motel. Leesa and Steve are great hosts and went out of their way to help us. We stayed in one of the newer rooms and it was spacious and spotless. Can highly recommend this motel!

Perfect location in town

Extremely friendly and helpful staff, and great rooms, in a prime location in Winton. I stayed for two nights in late February 2022, and this place exceeded my expectations. being only a couple of hundred meters from the main street, it was a top location.

The new owners had been there about three weeks, and couldn't have been more helpful. The owners were friendly, the rooms are large and clean (with good air conditioning), and a perfect location in town.

Neat, clean and comfortable

Excellent customer service; welcoming, helpful, thoughtful and friendly. There are great room options, and the hotel is in a great location. The space is very neat, clean and comfortable. Value for money.

Highly recommend the Outback Motel in Winton and would definitely stay here again if visiting or passing through Winton.

An outback oasis room

We had a great experience staying here. The room was very comfortable, well appointed and super clean. The new owners are welcoming and very happy to help with local info. An outback oasis room!

Clean, comfortable motel

A good place to stay in Winton. The staff were very helpful on arrival. The rooms are clean with adequate space (3 adults) and have all the facilities you need as well as comfortable beds. It was also in a quiet area of town but close to all the places you need to visit. All the main eating places are just a few minutes walk away. Make sure you book ahead as it can be very busy.

Enthusiastic and most helpful

I had a very enjoyable two-night stay at the Winton Outback Motel.

Steve and Leesa are the new owners and they were enthusiastic and most helpful with any queries that I had.

The room was clean and neat and had all of the amenities that I required.

An interesting surprise was that of a family of Brolga that visit the motel every morning for breakfast.

Thanks Outback motel. Stayed a night in premium room. Immaculately clean,spacious, well appointed room. Couldn't ask more. Enjoyed the brolgas at barbeque area. Very comfortable bed. Had a great night.
